How is Face Lift Surgery Performed?
Excess fat tissues on the face are determined before facelift surgery. Depending on the severity of sagging on the face, surgery is planned. Facelift surgery is a comprehensive aesthetic operation involving the temples, neck and forehead areas. At the request of the person, stretching can also be applied around the eyes. Alcohol and smoking should be stopped 2 weeks before the operation. Blood thinners, vitamin E and multivitamins should be discontinued 10 days prior to the operation.
Even if not very notable, there will be a scar after the surgery. However, these scars do not attract attention as they will be behind the ears. Depending on the application area of the operation, the areas of the scars may expand. Over time, the scars will become less noticeable and less disturbing.
It is normal to develop edema in and around the application area after the surgery. At the end of 48 hours, the swelling reaches its highest level and passes away within 1-2 weeks.
Depending on the details of the face lifting procedure, the duration of the operation may vary between 3-6 hours. As procedures such as eyelid aesthetics and under-chin aesthetics increase, the duration of the operation will be longer.
